How to use your Tummy Tub®
Make your baby feel safe and supported during bath time.
Step 1
Let’s start with good preparation. Make sure your hands are clean, as well as the Tummy Tub® you will be bathing your baby in. Put whatever you will be using during and after bath time - like a soft towel and safe products - within arm’s reach. Fill the Tummy Tub® with water (37°C/98°F) up to the water level mark (13cm/5inch from the base). Tip: use your elbow to feel if the water is at a comfy temperature for your little one. The water should just cover your baby’s shoulders when they are seated. If not, add some more or take some water out.

Step 2
Now it’s time to safely get your baby into the water. Pick your little one up by lifting them under the armpits while supporting their head with your fingers. Slowly lower them into the water and make sure they are sitting comfortably in a safe, seated position with their feet slightly up against the wall of the Tummy Tub®.

Step 3
Gently support your little one’s head by keeping your hand under their chin, while you wash them with your free hand. You can always lift your baby partly out of the water to wash their little body in places that are harder to reach.
Step 4
Bath time is a time for your baby to calm down, enjoy the skin-on-skin contact with their parent and ease cramps they might endure. When bath time is finished, safely lift your baby out of the Tummy Tub® whilst still supporting their head with your fingers. Put them in a soft towel and make sure they are dry before dressing them.
